Ingeobras (Inngen.io) and Pirineos Metal decided to combine their expertise in purification and digitalisation to develop a water treatment system based on advanced oxidation processes. This system was connected to a 4.0 sensor-based management platform, which fed the CFD simulation system.
Throughout the project, the aim has been to ensure that the system is able to achieve:
OXI-TWIN has proven to be an efficient and effective system for purifying wastewater rich in organic matter. The use of advanced oxidation methods reduces the need for additional consumables and saves on purchasing and storage costs. Furthermore, unlike existing bacteria beds, this purification system can be switched off, which saves energy costs, and can be continuously sensed. The use of sensors has made it possible to digitise the treatment plant, enabling remote control of the plant and predictive maintenance.
This data arrives in real time and is automatically reflected in the server, which at the same time sends the action to be taken to the plant.
This allows remote management through a mobile device (or similar), displaying real-time data that enables remote management of the plant and control of consumables. On the other hand, it also allows problem diagnosis and predictive maintenance.
