What is it?

A innovative technology that significantly increases the fluoride removal capacity of drinking water.

The problem

It has been proved that drinking waters containing no more than 1.5 mg/L can reduce the possibility of lifelong caries in adults. They also protect the teeth of children using this water from the first years of life up to the age of 12, 13 or 14 years.

However, fluoride concentrations above 2 mg/L in drinking water lead to dental fluorosis and tooth staining as well as severe bone disease, such as skeletal fluorosis.

Solutions on the market

Technologies such as osmosis, activated alumina and ion exchange membranes exist to remove fluoride from drinking water, but they require high installation and operating costs, require highly trained personnel and generate large volumes of highly contaminated water.

Compared to our technology, the membranes have to be replaced every 6-8 years and the replacement cost is very high.
