ANAERGY project selected in the Horizon 2020 programme. Phase 1
The ANAERGY technology developed by INGEOBRAS has been selected to be part of Phase 1 of the Horizon 2020 programme.
What is Horizon 2020?
Horizon 2020 is the European Union (EU) framework programme for innovation and research for the period 2014-2022. It has a total budget of more than €77 billion to fund different innovative initiatives and projects.
This initiative contains a programme called SME Instrument, whose focus is exclusively for small and medium-sized enterprises belonging to the European Union. Projects submitted under this programme can be individual or consortia, and receive funding throughout the innovation process through a phased grant scheme, which supports traditional or innovative SMEs that have the ambition to grow, develop and internationalise through a European innovation project.
What is the programme’s objective?
Horizon 2020 aims to support European Research, Development and Technological Innovation strategies, contributing directly to addressing major societal challenges, as well as creating and maintaining European industrial leadership, and strengthening the excellence of the science base.
The strategic objectives of Horizon 2020 are as follows:
- Create science of excellence to strengthen the EU’s position on the global scientific stage.
- Develop technologies and their applications to improve European competitiveness.
- Carrying out research on the major issues that affect European citizens.
Phases of the proposal:
The Horizon 2020 programme consists of 3 phases:
Phase One: Concept and feasibility assessment.
Phase Two: Demonstration and commercial replication.
Third Phase: Commercialisation.
